Tip Tuesday-Sponge Daubers

If you are like me, you probably have a box of sponge daubers. Well, I very rarely wash them, but then I forget which color I was using. Well, here is my tip for today.

When you grab a new dauber, take your label maker and make a label for it. Wrap it around the dauber and viola you always will be able to re use it in the right ink pad. No more contamination or messy pads !

Easy Way To Use Left Over Half Beads

I always wind up with extra random half beads. They are like the missing sock. I never know where the others are. So they wind up in a little container on my desk.

One of the easiest way to use them is my note card idea. You simply stamp random flowers on a piece of card stock. Color the flowers and leaves with colored pencils or markers,
Use the random beads as the center of the flower. Glue them on and you are done.

Distress inks

Blending distress inks is pure joy. The colors blend beautifully. They work on tags, greeting cards, scrapbook pages and art journals. You can also use them in Bible journals, mini albums and more.

All you need is a blending tool or sponge. I like the blending tool, because it has a pad that can be removed. With a piece of velcro, it can be stored on the bottom of your mini distress ink pad or your standard pad. That way you save money by not having to constantly buy pads.

Tips

1. Always blend in a circle.
2. Use the edge of your blending pad so that you don't get the outline of the pad or sponge
3.Start from the darkest color and work to the lightest to get the best blend
