Full Deck Challenge #4

Full Deck Challenge #4

This is the fourth project in our Full Deck Challenge. In case you have not been following us, the Full Deck Challenge is a program to create Artist Trading Cards from a full deck of playing cards. It is a challenge to learn new techniques and ideas while having fun creating art without limits or rules. If you do not have playing cards, you can use playing cards of the same size as standard ATC ( Artist Trading Cards) which is 2.5 by3.5 inches.

So, if you use cardstock, you will want to use a heavyweight paper of between 85 to 110 lb weight, If you feel that the playing cards that you are using are light, you can glue two of them together.

You do not need a huge stash to participate. Just adapt and use what you have ~ Personally, I have been using quite a few little odds and ends that have been hanging around my craft space.

So #4 was about creating a ticket. But I wanted the King and Queen to show through, so I used some tissue paper on top of the card ! Then, I just cut the cards into a ticket shape Then decorated with what I had. Remember.....no rules, just art and having fun !

We hope that you will give these ideas a try. Most of us have old decks of cards layering around our homes. These are a perfect way to expand your skills by playing with different media.

Till next time, Happy Crafting
